Native Plant Workshop and Sale

Learn more about Richland Soil and Water Conservation District’s commitment to native plants. This year’s guest speaker is Bill Flanegan, Jr. an OSU Extension Master Gardener and volunteer coordinator of the native plant landscaping at the Richland County Fairgrounds Nature Park. He inspires others to use native plants for the benefits they provide like having a strong root structure which helps prevent soil erosion, being acclimated to our climate so they require less watering and helping pollinators and other wildlife. He has voluntarily coordinated other native plant landscapes including the Ontario city building.
Purchase native plants from Natives in Harmony and seed packets from us. Plus, get great information from The Native Yard Project and Wild Acres.
The workshop is free, but please register by May 12 for seating.
