Volunteer of the Year Tree Planting

Please join us as we plant a black gum tree in honor of Leonard Fox, our volunteer of the year at Seltzer Park near the gazebo and play scape. Leonard N. Fox has been volunteering with Richland Soil and Water Conservation District since 2016. Leonard serves the district as a precipitation monitor and provides daily reports of rain and snow amounts on the  Richland Soil and Water Conservation District website. He said he volunteers with Richland Soil and Water Conservation District because the precipitation data helps others in the county make gardening, farming, and conservation decisions. Leonard enjoys giving back to the community. He also volunteers with the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce and is involved with the Knights of Columbus. Leonard is a retired farmer but still enjoys helping on the farm, beekeeping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Kathy have two daughters, and four grandchildren. Thank you, Leonard, for helping the district!
